Morgan Leigh Davies

Morgan Leigh Davies is a cultural critic who writes about books and film. A contributing interviewer at Electric Lit, she was previously a staff writer covering pop culture at Bustle, and her writing has been featured in The Sewanee Review, Jezebel, Current Affairs, The Sick Times, The Denver Quarterly, Fansplaining, CrimeReads, Bright Wall/Dark Room, Strung, The Village Voice, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Brooklyn Magazine, and elsewhere. She is also author of the newsletter Novel Observations, and she cofounded Overinvested, a pop culture podcast. She has also worked as a freelance researcher on book, magazine, and podcast projects.

Morgan holds a master's degree in Victorian literature from the University of Oxford and is a graduate of Barnard College, and currently lives in Brooklyn, where she volunteers as a mentor with Girls Write Now and with the PEN Prison Writing Mentorship Program. She is currently live with Long COVID and is passionate about disability visibility and justice. In her spare time, she watches tennis and speculates about the Oscar race.
